Below is a story about sweet Daisy and her journey! Please be in prayer for her and her family!
Sweet Daisy is just 4 years old, but her journey has been anything but easy. Born with a rare chromosome deletion, Daisy has endured more challenges and hardship in her few tender years than many will know in the course of their lifetime. From the very beginning, she has spent countless days in hospitals—bravely enduring illness, appointments, therapies, and treatments with incredible strength and the most resilient smile.
Despite these hardships, Daisy’s light has inspired everyone lucky enough to know and love her. She adores watching Ms. Rachel and treasures storytime with her favorite books. Her latest obsession is bubbles—watching them float through the air brings her so much joy. Some of her happiest moments are spent outdoors, going for walks, riding around the neighborhood in her little car, and taking family trips for ice cream. These simple joys are the heartbeats of her world, and her family cherishes every second of them.
In April, Daisy’s family noticed something was changing. She began to regress in the skills she had fought so hard to gain. She was struggling to bear weight on her legs, and even simple acts like eating and swallowing became difficult. On May 8th, Daisy was taken to the ER for apparent seizure activity. After hours of tests and a CT scan, doctors found the devastating answer—a mass on her brain.
The diagnosis: DIPG, a rare and aggressive brain stem tumor. There is no cure. Even with treatment, the outcome remains the same. Doctors estimate that Daisy has 6 months to live.
Her family is doing everything they can to make every single moment count—surrounding Daisy with love and comfort as they face the unimaginable, together.
This fundraiser is to support Daisy’s parents so they can focus completely on their little girl without the added burden of financial stress. With your help, they can hold her hand a little longer, read her favorite story one more time, and wrap Daisy in the warmth of their love without worrying about work, bills, or hospital costs.
No amount can ease the heartbreak, but your generosity can help give this family the gift of time—a peaceful, passionate goodbye no one should ever have to make, but every child deserves.
